About the Alliance

The COPD Action Alliance is an advocacy coalition that helps to increase awareness, support grassroots advocacy and improve COPD policy.

Unite stakeholders to advance patient-centered COPD policy at the state and federal level.

THE CHALLENGE

Despite the prevalence and impact of COPD, patients cannot always access the care they need. Awareness challenges, education gaps and barriers to treatment can stand in the way.

APPROACH

Through its membership network, the COPD Action Alliance advocates for a patient-centered approach to COPD care that:
  • Improves awareness and education
  • Encourages policies that elevate the COPD community
  • Ensures patients can access appropriate care
  • Prioritizes the clinician-patient relationship
